CRAZY CRAZY WEATHER MODELS!!!!! Making Us Weather Lover Work Overtime!

Hey Bloggers. I have been right here at the desk all day watching these weather models and radars. Let me just be the first to point out that these weather models are being very tricky today with these storms! The thing that we are really going to be watching this evening is this cold front. The timing is everything. I have some models showing me a small squall line wanting to try and form by later on this evening into tonight while another model is showing something much like what we have already seen today with just some hit and miss showers with the strongest staying up to our north where the severe thunderstorm watch currently is. And not a well developed line of storms! Some good news is the highest CAPE is now looking to stay in western IL areas, also our tornado threat has gone down to around a 2% chance from White, county south. However from White, county north is still a 5% chance at this time. Still I'M not looking at tornadoes as our main threats! Because of how crazy the weather models are at this time this is why we will have to continue to watch this line develop and I will keep you all posted.

Now another thing we all have been watching is the temperatures! Yes, they have been on the rise slowly all afternoon. Currently I'M looking at Lafayette's temperature at 79.3* degrees and still rising slowly. Our lifted index is also still expected to fall to around -6 by this evening.

So to break all this crazy weather down here is what we are thinking at this time....................

We will watch this cold front very closely as it continues to move across the area by this evening. As the evening goes on we will then have a much better idea as to which model we can really trust and then be able to go from there. Overall it is looking like the worst is going to stay to our north and west at this time.....

I will be back a little later on this evening with more of a fine tuned forecast filled with more details..... Stay tuned!!

Well, since it's not going to rain any time soon guess I'll go back to gardening. Just bought more petunias for the flowerbed at the end of the porch.

Thanks Justin, I am showing a temp of 81.6 and dew points 67.7! Muggy to say the least.

The temps here are going up fast, may have to turn on the AC. Nice warm breeze though:)

Thanks Justin.

Yeah, I just don't see anything happening again until maybe around 10 tonight and out of here by midnight. If and when something does, I have a feeling that it will be scattered t-storms. Don't put your trust in me though.! I'm just taking a wild guess here. :p
