Sorry guys for not updating lately. A few days ago I had to head out to my aunt and uncles house to help him put in a new wood floor. Has anyone ever done that? lol If not then believe me when I say you usually hurt after your all done! ;) Anyway ever since then I have been sick. Went to the doctor yesterday and he said I have a common cold. First one in three and a half years. (Not bad) ;) Last night was the most sleep I have had in two days.
I'm trying to get better as fast as possible because I don't have time to be sick. So I will try to get an update to you all when I can.
Thank you for understanding.... Oh but on the plus side, Happy First Day Of Spring!

Maybe a few clouds but I can handle that. a day ago when I ran outside it was only 45 degrees and felt cold. But me being the kind of nut that love running so much I just put on the jacket and went for it lol :) And I was very thrilled that I was not the only runner out their lol :)

Give These People Some R-E-S-P-E-C-T!!!
We have seen a good amounts of rain through out today and believe it or not we still have a little more on the way to start the weekend! Yes, Saturday we are talking about this low pressure system that has stuck with us for a while still hanging around. It's not looking like a wash out but still another wet day! Rainfall right now looking between a Tenth and maybe a quarter inch in areas. Sunday will also be a slight chance for a few hit and miss scattered showers before we really start to dry out to start the work week. Take a look at this nasty little low pressure system below.
Now, I got an e-mail this evening from my Dad that I knew I had to post! I want you all o read this and then at the end I hope you'll be happy with the weather we have here in Indiana. And also I hope you'll have a high amount of Respect for these people of North Dakota.
Take a look.....
Minot Daily News WEATHER BULLETIN
Up here in the Northern part of North Dakota we just recovered from a Historic event --- may I even say a "Weather Event" of "Biblical Proportions" --- with a historic blizzard of up to 25" inches of snow and winds to 50 MPH that broke trees in half, knocked down utility poles, stranded hundreds of motorists in lethal snow banks, closed ALL roads, isolated scores of communities and cut power to 10's of thousands. FYI: Obama did not come. FEMA did nothing. No one howled for the government. No one blamed the government. No one even uttered an expletive on TV. Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton did not visit. Our Mayor's did not blame Obama or anyone else. Our Governor did not blame Obama or anyone else either. CNN, ABC, CBS, FOX, or NBC did not visit - or even report on this category 5 snow storm.Nobody demanded $2,000 debit cards. No one asked for a FEMA Trailer House. No one looted. Nobody - I mean Nobody demanded the government do something. Nobody expected the government to do anything either. No Larry King, No Bill O'Rielly, No Oprah, No Chris Mathews and No Geraldo Rivera. No Shaun Penn, No Barbara Striesand, No Brad Pitts, No Hollywood types to be found.Nope, we just melted the snow for water. Sent out caravans of SUV's to pluck people out of snow engulfed cars. The truck drivers pulled people out of snow banks and didn't ask for a penny. Local restaurants made food, and the police and fire departments delivered it to the snow bound families.. Families took in the stranded people - total strangers. We fired up wood stoves, broke out coal oil lanterns or Coleman lanterns. We put on an extra layers of clothes because up here it is "Work or Die". We did not wait for some affirmative action government to get us out of a mess created by being immobilized by a welfare program that trades votes for 'sittin at home' checks . Even though a Category 5 blizzard of this scale is not usual, we know it can happen and how to deal with it ourselves. The world does Not owe you a living!

This is just some of the things that goes on that we never hear about! Maybe people will think twice before commenting about how bad Indiana weather is! ;) These people went out in over 25" Inches of snow by themselves and got the job done! Most people in Indiana complain about scooping 2" to 4" inches. Remember if you want something done, The only way to get it done is to do it! Talking about doesn't make it happen!
So count your blessings!
Storm Talk...
Well, bloggers we do have more rain and scattered thunderstorms in the forecast for the rest of today! Now I have been going through data all day and at this time it is looking like anything that could be severe will try and set up just to our south and east. However I'm not going to rule out around a 5% to 10% chance for a stray one to make it into the WLFI viewing area. But for right now I think we will just stick with scattered thunderstorms. And the chance for Scattered thunderstorms is around a 20% to 40% chance. However rainfall on the other hand "could" be heavy at times kinda like what we seen yesterday. Take a look at this Satellite Radar Image just taken below a few minutes ago below. You see the big blob of rain and storms to our south? Well, this is what we have to look forward to this afternoon into the evening. The areas in blue are showing where the frequent lightning strikes have been the past half hour. You can see they are looking to set up just to the east of us as this system is moving north north east. Areas of KY, Extreme South IN, and OH, are the areas in the Slight risk for severe weather at this time.
Still with this being said I will continue to watch things like the current EHI, The current LI, The current Total Totals, And things on that order. If anything is to change I will be back to give you the update!
As for rainfall I think for today we will look for around a Tenth inch to a quarter inch with locally higher amounts in thunderstorms possible. And then between today and tomorrow between a quarter and a half inch with locally higher amounts in areas.
So stay weather ready as we always do here on JIWB and I'll check back if needed! ;)
Make today a great one!

What Went Wrong?
We did wake up to some nice Spring thunder showers across the WLFI viewing area. However this was not the time I had forecasted for this system to move through! This system was moving much faster then what the weather models showed. Areas that should have picked up near a half inch only seen around a tenth inch. Take a look at this radar image taken early this morning below. You can see the heavy bands of rain in this image. Sure the rain fell rather heavy at times however it didn't last long enough for the totals to really climb. As this rain continued to push off the our north east it started to break up and become lighter. We started pulling in a lot of dry air on the back side of this storm. And we are still pulling in dry air at this time.Looking at some satellite images the clouds are even starting to break up a bit to our west! I'm even starting to see some blue skies myself. So does this mean I'm putting some sunshine in the forecast for today? I think so! We will still watch for some rain tonight and rain chances on Friday as well. But if anything this system moving much fasted then expected and then pulling in dry air has really cut back on our expected rainfall totals. You can't get every storm right I guess?!?! But will just work even harder and try better not to miss another one! lol ;) At least I can let you know why this system didn't go our way!
On a better note Brow, did snap some good pictures of this front making it's way into the Monticello, area around 8:30am EST. He seems to always have his camera with him when we need pictures the most! lol ;) Check them out below. Thanks Brow! Keep the pictures coming... I'll check back soon.....
Rain Came In WAY Earlier Then Expected!
This first round of rain came through much much much faster then what any of my models showed last night! This is just some of the things that happen when forecasting Indiana weather! Most areas didn't even pick up but around .10" to .15" of an inch!
I'm going to go through more data and check out a few radars then I'll be back by this afternoon with another update!
Stay tuned.....
I'm going to go through more data and check out a few radars then I'll be back by this afternoon with another update!

It's All Part Of Spring!
Yes, you can see my bird Momo, (The Parakeet On Top) and my sisters bird Ziva, (On Bottom) really enjoying the windows being opened and the nice fresh breeze that went on yesterday! Has this weather been great or what????? Let me hear it???? :) Well, believe it or not I recorded a high yesterday in the Lafayette, area of 70 degrees!!! WOW And everyone I talked to said they really enjoyed it! I took my Rat Terrier Dobby, on another walk yesterday and he's loving it as well! ;) Sure it was a little windy to start things yesterday but with temperatures like this we can handle a little wind.
I did find some sign's of Spring while I was out and about yesterday and I had to take some pictures. I'm usually a cold weather lover but even I'm ready for Spring. Yes, JLB, you read right! lol ;) Take a look at this picture below.
You can see the trees are already starting to bud and soon enough we will be seeing the leaves develop! This is a sign of Spring I wait for every year. Soon after we see this the flowers start coming up. Mike Prangley, has already been talking about planting a garden down in the Sunshine state of FL. We will be able to do the same very soon! I think we will hit a high in the middle 60s again today with lows only falling into the middle to upper 40s. The average low for this time of year is around 30 degrees so we will be running a good 15 to 16 degrees above average at night for the next few days! But anyone who has lived in Indiana for a long time knows that usually our nice weather comes with a price! Well, that continues today. Take a look at the wet rainy mess we got in store for this afternoon.
Yes, thanks to an area of low pressure we will see some good rain showers, heavy at times move across the area starting sometime between 10:am and 1:pm EST. This is just a starting range for now. Right now I'm looking at much of the WLFI viewing area picking up between .50" and .75" inches of rainfall with some locally higher amounts possible in areas closer to the 1.00" mark. Now some stations have been talking about thunderstorms with this system and some even thinking about a slight risk for severe weather! Well, the question is "Is any of this true?" Well, I have gone through the latest storm data and from what I can see we will look for a mostly rain event however a few rumbles of thunder cannot be ruled out! But as for severe, I think we will be oak. Still to be safe I will continue to watch some of the current data off and on today to stay on top of things. If I see any major changes I will be sure to pop in and let you know! You can count on it. ;)
Here's your quick cast below.
Quick Cast..............................
Today we will see some rain showers that will be heavy at times move across the area. A few thunder rumbles will be possible but severe weather is looking slim. Rainfall will be between a quarter and a half inch possible with a few locally higher amounts near one inch possible. Winds will be breezy between 15 and 20 mph gusting to 25 mph. Highs will be in the middle to upper 60s with lows in the middle to upper 40s.
Friday we will again keep in around a 45% chance for some scattered rain showers across the area. Rainfall looking less then Thursday's with only around a quarter inch expected. Highs will be in the low 60s with lows in the low 40s. Winds will be calm between 10 and 15 mph.
Extended Outlook.
We will start to cool off a little bit as we move into the weekend. Nothing major however highs will range between the middle 40s and middle 50s as we head into next week. We will also keep rain chances in the forecast into the weekend before drying out again next week.....

So take your umbrella into work as you could get wet by lunch time! Hey this is all part of Spring!
Let the rain begin!! ;)

Rain Chances Just About Everyday This Week?!?!
Well, bloggers we got a lot to talk about! First off what about the high temperatures yesterday? WOW it felt great! I recorded a high in the Lafayette area of 59.8 degrees! We may as well call that 60 degrees! Only .2 degrees off. lol. We did start off with some fog in areas. Some pretty thick fog to start things. Brow, sent me a video of his drive to work yesterday morning. He says the visibility was only around 1/4 of a mile. Take a look at this video shot by our very own Brow, below.
The good thing is he made it to work safe and sound. As long as you stay weather ready then you should be fine.
Brow, also sends us this picture above. This also really shows how things looked. And is a real nice pictures too I might add! The fog didn't start to clear until the sun came out around the early afternoon close to 1:pm or so. But once it did it became a beautiful day! We soon enough hit that high near 60 degrees and it really felt like Spring. I even got a chance to take my Rat Terrier Dobby, out for a walk around the neighborhood. And he loved it! lol. First time this year. It's been a long winter lol. But the good news for everyone ready for Spring is I'm looking for these mild temperatures to stick around for a while. Now I'm not saying we won't see anymore cool days as that is still possible! However Winter will have a hard time making a comeback. Spring is now only around 11 days off. We have already started doing some outdoor cleaning at our place! I'm sooooooooooooooo ready for the real Spring weather to kick into high gear! ;)
Now before we get to ready for Spring we do have a little rainy weather to talk about through out much if not all of this week! Yes, I'm saying we have a chance at seeing some rainfall everyday this week through the weekend. WHY? you ask? Well, take a look below.
You can see this Low pressure system in the image above. This is where the low will be today. However as this low slowly moves to the north east it will bring rain chances for us now through the weekend. Not a total washout everyday! But still light rain possible. Now as for storms! I don't see any at this time. As you can see this is mainly a warm front that will effect our area. So this should be a mostly rain event. Now areas to our south and west will have the better chances at thunderstorms with this low moving across the area. So for us between today and tomorrow I think we will keep around a 40% chance at some scattered showers possible. Rainfall between today and tomorrow as a grand total would be between a tenth inch to a quarter inch possible. We will talk about more rainfall totals to come later on this week. For now lets get through the next few days. So for Today we will look for highs in the upper 50s once again as well as Wednesday. Winds will be between 10 and 20 mph today and 10 to 20 mph with gusts to 25 mph on Wednesday.
And last but not least I did say I would post some pictures from the AHHS "Strike Out Suffering" bowling game and here they are! This is my uncel's focus and controll as he steeped up to bowl. Notice he's going after the last three pins he couldn't knock over the first time! :) lol.
And below is both my sister and my Aunt. My Aunt being crazy and my sister being camera shy. lol I have a crazy looking family! :p ;)
We bowled at noon along with many other people. The second group would come in at 2:00pm to bowl their game. The first group raised around $1,300 Dollars. And all this goes to the animals at the AHHS. It is a great cause and I'm very proud to have been a part of it. And you can bet we will be back next year! ;)
Here are a few more pictures.
Yours Truly...
Now I had better get off here and get some things done. Enjoy the weather knowing it won't be a total washout. I think we will still be able to get outside and enjoy at times! So have a good one.....
And a big thanks to Brow, for sending in his foggy Video from the Monticello, area.
I'll check back again soon..........

Thanks For Your Kind Thoughts!
Hey bloggers. Thank you for all the good wishes for my Grandma! This helps a lot believe it or not. She is doing oak but did go see her regular doctor yesterday. She found out that she tore a few tendons and also has water on her knee. The good news is for now they don't think she will need a surgery. At this time! So keep praying!! She's keeping high spirit's which is always good! She's a fighter and a very strong person in more ways then one way. She really is a person to look up to and I do!!
With a little extra time I had yesterday I thought I would make her a get well cake that kinda fit her problem lol. She loved it. Let me know what you think below.
She is very very scared of any kind of needle which I totally agree 110%! lol. So this was most likely the best kind of cake I could have made for her lol. ;) And to answer Brow's question! No she did not trip over any weather gear! lol :) Thank goodness! What she did trip over was the deck out back. Which isn't any better! Poor thing. But thanks again for all your good wishes and thoughts!
It has been another long day here at my house. I got the day started at 7:00am yesterday do to a Chiropractor appointment I needed. So I got up extra early so I would have time to get on the tread mill. Then after that it was still around 27 degrees outside, But I had to head out and lift weights. Brrrrrrrrrrrr is right. Then I headed to the appointment at 9:30am. After that I had to drive my sister to a few places and then my Mom later on. In my free time I made the theme cake as seen above. Followed by us doing some cleaning in the house which was most likely NOT the smart thing to do after my appointment. (Back now hurts) And then to finish everything off I'm not at the desk posting your weather update! I think after this I can rest lol. Now today we will be Bowling for the "Strike Out Suffering" for the AHHS. A very good cause and I can't wait to get started! I will try and post pictures of that as well very soon..... Now let's get started with your weekend weather outlook below.
What you are looking at above is the current weather outlook for today! Yes, you can see we have another day of 50s as our high and lots of sunny skies as our favorite Fair weather friend will move into our area! This is great weather for Bowling. I forecast a BIG turnout for this event. ;) This fair weather won't last to long though as we have some rain in the forecast come Tomorrow morning / afternoon. Take a look at Sunday's morning Prog chart below.
Yes, around 7:00am EST you can see where the rain is currently expected to be. This will move in on us as the day continues. Right now the thunderstorms look to stay well to our north west in areas west of Chicago. Right now we can look for rainfall between a quarter and a half inch possible. Highs will be in the middle 40s on Sunday with lows dropping into the lower 30s. Really this is not to bad for this time of year. The average high for this time of year is around 46 degrees with the average low being around 28 degrees. So our lows are right around where they should be while the highs are looking pretty good as well. Then after Sunday I currently still see 40s and 50s as our highs into next week! Spring is getting closer! And weather like what we will see today really gets people moving! lol ;)
Well, bloggers I have got to get some rest and give my back a rest so I can be ready to go later on this afternoon at the bowling ally. I'll check back again soon.....
Thanks again for everything! I'll give my Grandma your best wishes! :)

New Post On The Way...
Hey everyone. More crazy stuff the past few days UGH! Believe it or not I just got back from the emergency room about two hours ago with my Grandma. She was walking out back and tripped over something and fell on her knee which has already had a full knee replacement years ago. So it's all bruised really good and swollen. Kinda like water on the knee. She's oak now. Just needs to rest it for 4 to 6 weeks. Thank god it was nothing to bad!
It has been another crazy day that's for sure. It's going to be an early start to the day tomorrow as I got some things I need to get done. And I need to start early if I want to finish in time. I'm going to try to get an update posted on here later on this evening.
I'm doing the best I can lol. ;)
I will check back tonight..........

Spring Is Near And The Temperatures Are Looking Like A Real Treat!
I'm sorry for the lack of updates but I'm very glad to have bloggers who understand! It has just been a crazy week. But things need to be done and if I'm not doing something it feels like a long day lol. So I guess I keep myself busy! My sis says thanks to the comments about her back. Shes doing better and that's all that matters! :)
So what do we have to look forward to the next few days weather - wise? Well, yesterday we started out with sun peaking through in the morning and early afternoon hours however more clouds moved into the area that evening into last night. The good thing was we hit a high of 40° degrees! And believe it or not that felt pretty good. I was out running my grandma, Mom, and sister around town and I had to take off my jacket that's how nice it felt. The sunshine made it even better for what little bit it was out. getting that little taste of spring was amazing and now I'm even MORE ready for this weather to warm up. :) And hearing Mike Prangley, talking about all the sunny skies and warm weather in FL, is making me want it even more lol :) So if your as ready as I'am then you will like my forecast below! Lets check it out.
Above is the current two day outlook for the viewing area. Now you can see I have 39° degrees for the highs however I think we could easily hit the low 40s sometime in the day with partly cloudy skies expected! This should warm us up a bit. Lows will still be a little cool so I wouldn't open the windows just yet ;) But were getting closer! :) The first day of Spring is March 20th which is now only around 17 days away and counting. And we will start to feel even more like Spring to start things off this weekend. Yes, I have been looking at some weather models pointing to the upper 40s to low 50s by this weekend and to start things off next week! This will really feel nice. My Rat terrier Dobby, will want me outside playing ball. The wet grass and mud in areas may still be a problem lol. Also we could be talking about some Spring like weather in more ways then one closer to next week. What's this mean you ask? Well, take a look below.
Yes, we could very well be looking at some Spring like weather in the form of rain however it's way way way to far to tell if there may be any kind of thunder rumble along with it! But at this time I don't think it would be anything severe! So lets not worry about that. But some nice Spring like rain might help you get ready for the rainy season to kick in! And then yes, as you can also see above I have some possible messy weather back in the forecast by closer to the middle of March. This means some possible rainy snowy mixture weather events. That's the one thing about this time of year I don't like to well. And that's the change from winter to Spring. All the wet weather and muddy mess we have to deal with. But that's just one of the things we have to deal with when living in the Midwest. I do love the change of seasons don't get me wrong! Just don't like the mud lol :)
Anyway this is what we have to look forward to as we start out another month of weather tracking. This nice weather over the weekend will be a great start to the AHHS bowling event to help out the injured, and or ill animals get the help they need! What is this event all about? Take a look below.
On Saturday, March 6, animal lovers in the Greater Lafayette community are joining together at Market Square Lanes to “Strike Out Suffering” on behalf the injured and/or ill stray animals that find their way to the Almost Home Humane Society (AHHS) each year.
“Strike Out Suffering,” the humane society’s annual bowling event fundraiser, raises much-needed money for the AHHS Injured Animal Fund.
This fund provides necessary financial means to ensure that every injured and/or ill stray animal we meet is given the chance he or she deserves. This event is the only fundraiser dedicated to securing money for the Injured Animal Fund.
Me, My Sister, My Aunt, And My Uncle, will all be on a team together to help this great cause. The weather will be a BIG help to me so I can bowl my best game ever and I know there will be many people their along with us to help make this event raise a lot of money to get these animals the help they need to get healthy and safe again!
So have a GREAT, bright, and beautiful, day bloggers! I'll check back again soon..........

Been Busy!
Hey bloggers. First off I just want to say sorry for the lack of updates this week. It has been really busy the past few days. As you know my sister and I do a lot of work for our neighbors. Well, she hurt her back a few days ago so I had to cover her work was well. Today I got a few more things I need to get done however once things calm down late tonight I will have a late night post coming your way!
How warm could we get by this weekend? March came in like a lamb does this really mean it will go out as a lion? And do we have anymore chances for snow this season?? I will have your answers coming up later on.
Thank you!
