Take a look at some of these rainfall totals from our Big rain we seen. Now Lafayette was not the highest amount as there was a report that came in from Tipton with 2.30" inches! WOW is right. And after all this rainfall we seen we are now watching the rivers closely as we will see some flooding near Moderate flood stage. Take a look real quick at where the Wabash river currently is and where it is expected to crest! This will need to be watched really close..........
Yes, we are currently at 16.49ft which is a good five feet above flood stage! You can see flood stage is at 11.0ft. Now we will need to watch this close because we will be pushing moderate flood stage here come later on this afternoon. You can see we are expected to crest today around 2:pm this afternoon at around 19.5ft. Now moderate flood stage is at 20.0ft so we will be (just) under that! You see what I'M talking about..........Anyone who lives by the rivers should take note of this and be on guard. Now rain is not all we seen. Lets take a look at the rather good snowfall amounts from yesterday! I know there was a lot of people who was happy to see snow and others that it slowed them down. Here are just a few of those totals from right here at home.......... 
You can see Kentland, came in with a big two inches and Rensselaer, not far behind with 1.3" inches. Lafayette, didn't see that much but still enough to make some smile! ;) A nice good dusting is what we seen. And we have a slight chance for a little more snow flurries to snow showers possible early this morning. I don't think we will see much again but still a few possible flurries cannot not be ruled out. Yesterdays high we only hit 44* degrees with lots of wind! Lafayette seen a peak gust to 36 mph here at home. The wind was causing some problems around the area and I know of a few people it took by surprise. Well, winds will not be that breezy today but still some gusts around 25 mph are possible. Another cold night tonight with lows in the 20s as that freeze warning is still in effect until 10:am this morning. I hope all who already planted there plants did cover them! On average we don't see our last freeze until closer to April 30 with the latest freeze being May 27, set back in 1961. And after saying this I know a lot of people are ready to start planting but it may be just a little to early yet! Now here is your Quick Cast Blog Cast below. Highs will be in the low to mid 40s and lows in the 20s. We will see winds slightly breezy between 10 and 20 mph with a few gusts to 25 mph.
Wednesday will be more of an off and on cloud to sun day. We will start out mostly cloudy however I will not rule out a few peaks of sun. Winds will be lighter between 10 and 20 mph. Highs will be slightly warmer in the middle 40s and lows in the low 30s. It will be nice to get out of those 20s!
Thursday I think we will have some time to dry out before more rain moves in later on that evening. We will start out Partly cloudy only to have some more rain showers and maybe even a thundershower move in later on that night. Currently we can look for rain after 7:pm. Timing will most likely change again so I will be posting updates as we get closer. Currently I'M not seeing any severe weather just a few thundershowers likely.
Extended Outlook. Friday will be another rainy day with some heavy rainfall totals once again and maybe even some thundershowers to deal with. Currently not severe but heavy rainfall may still be a threat. We will also see the highs back in the upper 50s and lows in the upper 30s to low 40s. Saturday the start of your weekend is looking good at this time with lots of Mostly Sunny skies to track! This will also give us time to dry out after the rest of Friday's rain pushes out.
