Hey there again I'M back with the latest..........
Timing is all over with this next line however I think We will go with this.. Look for some more rain from this main line to start sometime around 11:pm tonight. Then the main thunderstorm threat closer to midnight or 1:am. Now some better news is we will keep our Lifted Index around -4 which is not bad. Things really start to get severe and out of hand from -4 and lower. Earlier yesterday we was looking at lifted Index of -5 to -6..... However because we had so much cloud cover and rain this morning that helped to keep us more stable then what we first thought! This is better news.
Now I'M not saying we will not see anything severe! We will still see this squall line move through our area later on tonight and when it does we will be looking for our main threats to be.
Heavy Rainfall Between an Inch to an Inch and a Half possible. This will be added on to what we have already seen today! This is why we will see our next threat and that is.....
Flooding! Yes, as seen in my last post below we do have the flood warnings out for our area. The Wabash is expected to crest on Friday around 8:pm at around 14.9ft which is almost four feet above flood stage which is at 11.0ft.
Also we will see some Gusty winds as the front passes. Wind gusts look between 30 and 35 mph outside of thunderstorms.
We will be seeing these moderate thunderstorms with still an isolated severe storm not ruled out! I do look for the worst to stay in the IL, areas or to our south and west however we will not let our guard down and we will continue to keep on top of things much like we all have together all day! ;)
I will be checking back as needed!
All EYE'S on the Doppler!! ;)
Thanks for the update Justin!

ReplyDeleteJustin,
ReplyDeleteWhat are your thoughts currently on those storms in IL headed our way? I am located in Frankfort.. not far from Lafayette. I am worried about those storms in IL with warnings, especially if they don't calm down a little before they start getting closer to us!
We just got a few large rain drops where I am located, I dont like the looks of this, Justin you are great, will keep watching for your updates.
