The NWS put this Watch into effect because we are unstable enough to support possible severe thunderstorms. Currently our Lifted Index is around -3 which is not to bad. Still we are looking for a few stray severe thunderstorms as this line passes through our area.

We can look for some Pea Sized Hail. Possible winds gusting in storms to 45 near 50 mph is some cells is possible. Now I do want to point out that there have not been any tornadoes reported with the storms that will impact our area. Just some gusty winds and Hail!! This is what we will really be looking for outside of some dangerous lightning. Please like I always say...."Remember you lightning safety tips" ..... We will continue to watch the radars and I will be doing In storm updates as needed! I still look for the worst to stay just to our south and west!

Calm down we will make it through this! ;) We are a T.E.A.M

I will check Back!!

  2. One more question.. Is our atmosphere supportive of firing those storms up? I don't know how to tell those kinds of things or where to even look. Thank You!

  4. Our atmosphere is unstable enough to support some possible severe storms if they come our way.. This is why we will continue to watch this closely!
