Some of you are most likely wondering what you are looking at? Am I right?? Well, what you are looking at above is the OSEI Image of the day which is a satellite image taken on June 3rd 2009 / This year over Africa looking southwest. If you look to the left of this image you see all that tan color looking clouds. The only thing is these are not just any clouds. These are Dust clouds. Yes, that's right what we are looking at is a Dust storm from many many miles above! This is why the satellite is such a great tool to have. As you can see we can pick up many different things form anything like Clouds as always, To our current Snow pack, (If it was not summer) lol. And even Dust storms! So I thought after looking at an amazing image like this one we would see what we can find out about such dirty storms! Here is just a little about Dust storms below..... -----------------------------------------------------------
-----------------------------------------------------------
A dust storm usually arrives suddenly in the form of an advancing wall of dust and debris which may be miles long and several thousand feet high. They strike with little warning, making driving conditions hazardous. Blinding, choking dust can quickly reduce visibility, causing accidents that may involve chain collisions, creating massive pileups. Dust storms usually last only a few minutes, but the actions a motorist takes during the storm may be the most important of his or her life.

Well, I really don't see us getting any dust storms anytime soon that is for sure! However we will see some more Partly cloudy skies today along with more storm chances back in the forecast by Monday night into early early Tuesday! Here is today's out look below..... So today is looking calm and mild with highs reaching into the lower 80s along with the wonderful Partly cloudy skies we all love so much this time of year!! Now how about we talk a little about what we are looking for this time Monday!! OK, I have been watching these weather models very closely and as of now here is what I found! Sunday will be pretty nice with Partly cloudy skies that day and increasing clouds that night. There is the slight chance for some scattered showers to move in late that night into early Monday morning. In which case we would be looking for rainfall between a tenth inch and a quarter inch possible. Then Monday off and on light showers through out much of the day. As we head into that night into early Tuesday that is when we will see another cold front develop which will allow more rain and thunderstorms develop along side the front forming yet another squall line of storms. This is the real next system we will currently watch as we continue to get closer. Currently some models have this line weakening as it would get closer to our area with this timing for it being so late. However I'M not going to toss in all my marbles just yet as it is still three days away and sooooooooooo many things have time to change!
All in all we will as always continue to watch this developing system and I WILL keep you posed! Until then have a wonderful weekend Bloggers! I will catch ya Monday!
