Good news Bloggers!!!!! Our southern counties have been taken out of the severe thunderstorm watch. You can see why above! This is a radar image just taken off my radar this evening. I have been watching the current data this past hour very closely. We are more stable as you can tell just by going outside and looking up! We are not seeing any of those towering or even slightly puffy cumulus clouds which is a good sign. Also you need high Dew points to support severe thunderstorms. Our current Dew Points are around 61* degrees. Muggy but not to bad! These storms have been weakening as they continue to make there way into Indiana. I do however think we will see some rain and thunder but as far as severe thunderstorms with dangerous lightning, hail, and tornadoes,! They are looking more and more slim as this night goes. The severe and or even stronger storms are staying well to the south of the WLFI viewing area also you can see above! This is where the large hail is and Dangerous lightning.....We have been slowly looking better as the day continued. However it was to early to call it clear! Things change all the time and that is what we need to remember Always!.......... We will see the rain move in later on tonight along with that thunder possible. Then as we head into Tomorrow the main line of rain will start to push through which is when we will start to see our rainfall pick up again around three quarters of an inch to an inch possible. As we head into that afternoon things should start to dry out.....
I will be here watching the radars closely tonight just to be on the safe side! But right now I think we are looking better! We will still see some thunderstorms but anything severe looks to stay well south of the viewing area as of now..........
Main things to look for tonight will be the Heavy rainfall, at times and some scattered light thunderstorms still possible. Really more like Thundershowers! ;)
I will check back as needed!
Looks likes rain is not far, heading NE crossing the state line?
ReplyDeleteThanks Justin for keeping us all updated!! :-)
