Here are just a few helpful fog driving safety tips you all can take note of to help make us all better and or safer drivers in this wild Indiana weather we all know and love so much! ;) Take a look below..........
----------------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------------
Drive with lights on LOW beam. High beams will reflect off the fog, creating a "white wall" effect.
Reduce your speed - and watch your speedometer. Fog creates a visual illusion of slow motion when you may actually be speeding.
Avoid crossing traffic lanes.
Travel with the drivers window partially open. Listen for traffic.
If your car is disabled or you cant continue, pull well onto the shoulder and turn off lights. Move away from your vehicle.
Consider postponing your trip until the fog lifts.

So when is our next chance at some more rain???? Well, currently Saturday is looking like a slight chance at some more light rain. Currently any rainfall on Saturday would only be around a tenth inch with locally higher amounts in areas. Not looking for anything severe which is great news! However we will see our next real chance at some rain / Thundershowers again by later on Monday into Tuesday. However we will talk more about that as we continue to get closer! It really is to early to call for anything severe! The weather models are a great help to give us an idea however they change all the time! This is why I will check back on this as we get closer!
Until then I did find something I thought some of you would find fun to read! Yes, that's right I found more weather sayings that try to predict our wild weather! See if any of you have heard of these through out the years! Take a look..... As for me I'M going to try and get some sleep.......... I have sooooooo many things to get done today! Yes, Friday is not only the best day of the week but also my busy day today! LOL. Have a good one Bloggers!!!!! I will check back soon with your weekend forecast!
here are the weather sayings that attempt to predict the long-range weather, such as whether the winter will be cold or the summer rainy. Almost all long-range forecasts, even by the National Weather Service, are not very accurate.
“Onion skins very thin Mild winter coming in;Onion skins thick and tough Coming winter cold and rough."
“A swarm of bees in May Is worth a load of hay.”
”If March comes in like a lamb, it goes out like a lion; if it comes in like a lion, it goes out like a lamb.”
“Plant your beans when the moon is light,You will find that this is right;Plant potatoes when the moon is dark,And to this line you’ll always hark; But if you vary from this rule,You will find you are a fool;Follow this rule to the end.And you’ll have lots of dough to spend.”
“When oak is out before the ash, ‘Twill be a summer of wet and splash. But if the ash before the oak, ‘Twill be a summer of fire and smoke."
“The first snow comes six weeks after the last thunderstorm in September.”
“If February brings drifts of snow There will be good summer crops to hoe.”
“If February brings drifts of snow There will be good summer crops to hoe.”
“When sheep gather in a huddle, tomorrow we will have a puddle.”
“Expect the weather to be fair When crows fly is pairs”
“If woolly worms are dark, the coming winter wilt be severe.”
“If woolly worms are dark, the coming winter wilt be severe.”
“When ladybugs swarm,Expect a day that’s warm.”
The above saying may be true because lady bugs store heat in their shells. If it gets too warm, they start flying to dissipate the heat. Of course, this means it is already warm, not that it is going to be warm!
“When chickens scratch together,There’s sure to be foul weather.”
“If the groundhog sees his shadow on February 2nd, there will be six more weeks of winter.”
“When pigs carry sticks, The clouds will play tricks; When they lie in the mud, No fears of a flood.”
