Forecast Focus, Cold With Snow Flurries!

Well, we have been right around average temperature - wise the past week. But all that could change if only for a few days! Our average temperature for this time of year is right around 33* degrees. We may be seven degrees below this average by Friday! With some snow flurries possible to go along with it. Lets take a look at what's in store.Above is a look at Thursdays Prog chart at around 1:pm EST. This is what we have to look forward to over the next few days. Let me break it down for you. We are expecting to see this cold front continue to make it's way through the area bringing in highs around 26* degrees by Friday! Also we have a couple of low pressures setting up to our north and east. This low pressure is taking it's time moving by. This will give us our chances at some scattered snow flurries / snow showers over the next few days. Now at this time I'm not seeing any big accumulation with these snow showers. Just some cat tracks will be most likely across the WLFI viewing area. Here's your snow - cast below.
Between both Thursday and Friday I'm going to give a range of an inch or less for the WLFI viewing area. Really I think anyone who hits around an inch would be lucky. Most areas as I said above will be looking for something on the line of cat tracks this time around.

You can see in this radar image the snow showers are moving closer.
((Radar image taken at 6:33pm EST))

You see how scattered and few and far between they are. This will be the case as we head into Thursday and Friday. Hit and miss snow showers across the area.

Lets go ahead and take a look at your quick cast....

Quick Cast.....

Thursday we will look for mostly cloudy skies across the WLFI viewing area. A few light scattered hit and miss snow flurries are not out of the question. Highs will be in the upper 20s around 29* degrees with lows that night as the cold front continues to pass through around 15* degrees. winds will be between 10 and 15 mph.

Friday we will again be looking for mostly cloudy skies with around a 30% chance for some scattered snow showers. Nothing really accumulating to much with this system. Highs will be around 26* degrees with cold lows that night around 13* degrees possible! Winds will be between 5 and 10 mph with a few light gusts to 15 mph possible.
