OK here is the latest on what we can expect for later on late tonight into Wednesday! But First I would like to say this forecast has been all over this week for Wednesday! But that is OK we can Handel it! ;)
For tonight we can expect to see a few off and on light snow flurries. lows in the single digits. With winds between 10 and 15 mph!
Wednesday starting around 5:am or 6:am in the morning we can see the Alberta clipper start to move in! Highs in the LOW teens and lows in the Single digits!!!!! New expected snowfall for Lafayette between 1" and 3"inches. This means we could see snowfall amounts an inch to a inch and a half! New snowfall for Newton and Jasper counties are between 2" and 4" inches. Which means they can see snowfall around 2" inches. A good thing to say about Wednesday is the winds are not expected to be as high as what we where looking for yesterday!! They are now looking to be between 10 and 15 mph with possible gusts to 20 maybe 25 mph. However if this snow is a light fluffy snow then it wont take much at all to blow it around!. One more thing! we do have a little bit of dry air in our area! However it is not much! Still we will have to watc it closely as we head into Wednesday for you all know it can effect our snowfall amounts! So we will watch it closely! And I will have another snowfall amount coming your way later on this evening! You can see below the Dry air I'M currently watching!
So always be careful! And don't forget about the COLD wind chills that will be below zero until closer to the weekend!!!For tonight we can expect to see a few off and on light snow flurries. lows in the single digits. With winds between 10 and 15 mph!

Justin, it looks like more dry air to the West, but it may get pushed out. As always this is going to be a tough call and almost impossible to predict more than a few hours in advance. Don't get to generous on the snowfall amounts because if your wrong the vultures will get you. LOL Good luck and have fun.
ReplyDeleteYou said it!
ReplyDeleteWith this dry air we will just have to take it hour by hour and keep tracking it!
I will tell you the amounts have been tricky the past few days with this system! So I will have another update coming your way here a little later on this evening with the latest info I will have!
They say the Midwest is the hardest place to track!I believe it! But I like a challenge ;-)
Keep warm out there!
