Some areas seen quarter size snow flakes last night!! And the Frost bite cold is on the way!!!!!

WOW what a night! You can see that last night we did see a heavy band of snow come through our area! We seen quarter size snow flakes! I wish it was light outside then I would have taken some pictures for you all! But at least I got the radar image!

We have some wild Indiana cold weather coming! And you can thank two cold fronts for this! The first front is making its way through and if you have been out you can tell! It is going to be cold as you head out this morning!! High today only around 18* degrees! Without wind chill! Now we are expecting to see the snow showers tapper off by around 8:am this morning! Still be careful on some roads as they could be slick! Mainly the back roads and neighborhood roads!. After all the snow is past this morning we are looking for snow amounts between a half inch to an inch here in Lafayette. And up around Newton and Jasper counties closer to 2" inches! Winds between 15 and 25mph with gusts to 35 mph at times. As the cold weather sets in you should put a blanket in your car just to be safe! As the wind chills this week will be dangerous cold! We are talking frost bite weather! Make sure you have the Hats gloves and coats out as you leave this morning! You see above that is what we need as we head out! Even more as the week goes on! Now Wednesday the amounts are still up in the air! But as of right now Lafayette is looking for 1" to 3" inches however one model map is showing 1" to 2" inches! Now Newton and Jasper counties are currently looking for snowfall amounts between 2" and 4" inches! Winds may be a Problem! As winds will be between 15 and 25 mph with gusts to 30 mph! This is still iffy! But I will have another update on Wednesday later on this evening! So check back soon for the latest! Thank you for reading and I will see you soon!!!!!!!!!! Here in a quick link to keep up on the latest watches advisories and warnings. NOAA's National Weather Service And here is another link so you can see how the wind chills will feel this week! Wind Chill Chart Again be smart and stay safe!...

Have a great and safe day!
