A Wild Night Of Storms But A Beautiful Start To The Weekend!!!

Flood warnings are out for much of the WLFI viewing area at this time..... Above is the main story we are all talking about after our major rain / Flooding storm we seen last night! Above is the Wabash river outlook. You can see we are looking to crest on Sunday at 8:pm at around 16.2ft! This is just over five feet above flood stage which as you know is at 11ft. Everybody pray for all these people who are being effected by all this heavy rainfall and Flooding.................... I will be back later on today to post a map with all the BIG rainfall numbers from last nights storm! I did not run out to check the gauge last night do to all the dangerous lightning! However I can't wait to see how much we rain we really got! Look for the final amounts to be posted by this afternoon!

Now how are we looking to start off our weekend?? Well, here is a map I have put together for you all below!
Yes, we will have a GREAT start to the weekend that is for sure!! Now we will have a little left over rain in the early morning hours then we will start to clear out by noon time only to see some partly sunny skies and highs in the low 70s so don't cancel any of your plans!!! Lows will be in the lower 50s with light winds today between 10 and 20 mph. Nothing like we seen last night where we seen some peak gusts to around 30 mph with higher gusts in storms reported! And speaking about reports! More people have lost power in last nights storm! Take a look at some of these current power outages below.

Totals 975

Bartholomew 1

Carroll 1

Clinton 178

Floyd 57

Fountain 30

Grant 10

Montgomery 189

Tippecanoe 388

Tipton 1

Vermillion 2

Vigo 27

Warren 91

And last but not least your Sunday is also looking nice with mostly clear skies and highs in the upper 60s. So a little cooler but not bad! Lows will be in the middle 40s. Winds will be even more calm between 5 and 10 mph. This nice dry weather is just what we need to dry up some of this water. We have had well over our limit! Farmers are not going to be happy with all this standing water flooding the crops causing them to hold off their planting..... Well, hopefully this small dry streak we will see this week will help improve things and the local farmers will be ready to go!

I will again check back this afternoon with all your final rainfall totals from around that area! Until then I'M off to grab some sleep! Thank you for Blogging with me and I will see you all here on the Indiana Weather Blog again on Monday! HAPPY WEEKEND!!!!! ;o)
