Mild Temperatures, Weekend Quick Cast, And An Amazing Story!

How is everyone this evening??

I have your weekend quick cast outlook. A look at your Valentines Day forecast. Also a look at the possible 50s to move into the area this time next week. And a story about a 4 year old filled with bravery and courage! Let's get to it.

First off we do have some mild weather about to move into the area. Slowly but surly! We will start out with upper 30s this weekend! With 40s and 50s in the forecast by Next week and next weekend! Take a look at this surface temperature model below. This is looking into next Friday at 1:pm EST. You can see that small ridge of mild air moving into parts of the Midwest. With COLD polar air to our north and even warmer air to our south. We could be talking low 50s by this time next week! WOW it will feel like a heat wave for sure. Some of us may even open the windows for some fresh air. But in the meantime lets take a look at our weekend quick cast.

Weekend Quick Cast.....

Saturday we will look for mostly / partly cloudy skies. Around a 15% chance of a few light flurries in the early morning hours are possible. Otherwise we will look for off and on sun through out the day. Highs will be in the middle 30s around 35* degrees. And as we sit down for the night to watch some Saturday Night Live we will look for a low of 28* degrees! Winds between 5 and 10 mph.

Sunday we will look for partly cloudy skies across the area. Expect highs slightly warmer yet around 38* degrees with a low Sunday night around 29* degrees. Winds between 10 and 15 mph with a few gusts to 20 - 25 mph are possible.

And here's a look at your Valentines Day forecast below.Yes, I expect it to be a nice day weather - wise. With plenty of sun to go around. A nice not to cold high of 39* degrees maybe even pushing the lower 40s! And a low that night around 22* degrees. It should be a cool crisp day for sure! So enjoy time with your loved ones and have a Happy Valentines Day everyone!

And last but not least! In a post a few days ago I talked about people and how we need to stop ripping each other apart so much! Well, today I found a story about a little girl who saved her mother and little brother from a car accident! We need to start talking about the good in people for a change and not always the bad stuff! On Feb. 11: After a car accident, 4-year-old Averie, walked a quarter mile through a snow-covered field to save her mother Jamie Carrion, and 1-year-old brother Abel. Yes, a 4 year old "Little Girl" walked a "QUARTER mile" in the cold and snow! The snow was around a foot deep in Iowa! This is just amazing. Here's a link to the video below. You really need to see this. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

For a little girl of that age to already know what she needed to do is really amazing. She is a little hero among us! Showing spirit and hart to care for her mother and brother in a time of need. I look up to this little girl. She really is amazing. Her mother and brother should be very proud! Her mother raised a hero. For her to do this it took a lot of guts! And courage! It's just an amazing story and I wanted to be sure to share it with all my weather friends!

Have a great weekend everyone! Weather - wise and Otherwise.

God Bless!
