TO MUCH WATER AND FLOODING!!!

OK things are getting WILD! By that I'M talking about flooding and the rivers! This is not good for the rivers if you live by the rivers you need to be ready to move to higher land if needed. As I'M watching this line of storms move in we are picking up lightning and it is taking its time moving off to the east! This could be bad news for rivers as we could see some training rain. Looking at this line of rain / thundershowers we could easily see another inch and a half and in the areas that REALLY don't need it around Jasper county or Remington, they could see another two inches possible. They are already OVER three inches!!!!!

...A FLOOD WARNING CONTINUES FOR PORTIONS OF THE FOLLOWING RIVER INWESTERN INDIANA AND EASTERN ILLINOIS... WABASH RIVER....SIGNIFICANT FLOODING MAY DEVELOP ALONG PORTIONS OF THE WABASH RIVERFROM THURSDAY...MARCH 12 TO THURSDAY...MARCH 19. FLOOD LEVELS MAYAPPROACH AND SLIGHTLY EXCEED LEVELS EXPERIENCED LAST MONTH.MUCH OF NORTHERN INDIANA RECEIVED 2 TO 4 INCHES OF RAIN ON SUNDAY.ADDITIONAL RAINFALL OF BETWEEN 1 AND 2 INCHES HAS OCCURRED INPORTIONS OF NORTHERN INDIANA THIS MORNING. MORE RAIN WILL FALL THISAFTERNOON AND EVENING. THIS MAY LEAD TO SIGNIFICANT FLOODING.LATE TUESDAY MORNING THE WABASH RIVER WAS RISING FROM COVINGTON TOVINCENNES. THE RIVER WAS FALLING SLOWLY AT LAFAYETTE...BUT WILL RISEAGAIN TONIGHT AND WEDNESDAY.FLOODING HAD RETURNED TO THE LAFAYETTE...COVINGTON AND CLINTON AREAS.FLOODING WILL BEGIN IN THE TERRE HAUTE AND HUTSONVILLE AREASWEDNESDAY AND IN THE VINCENNES AREA SUNDAY.FLOODING WILL AFFECT AGRICULTURAL LAND...RIVER PARKS...NUMEROUSUNIMPROVED LOCAL ROADS AND A FEW STATE ROADS THAT ALL FLOODED DURINGFEBRUARY.

SAFETY MESSAGE...MOTORISTS SHOULD NEVER DRIVE INTO FLOOD WATER. TURNAROUND AND GO ANOTHER WAY. KEEP CHILDREN AWAY FROM FLOODED AREAS.RECREATIONAL AND AGRICULTURAL INTERESTS SHOULD REMAIN ALERT TOCHANGING RIVER CONDITIONS.
