As of 8:45PM

We are getting some reports of thunder and lightning in Monroe, here in Tippecanoe county and also thunder just started here in Lafayette as well, Thunder and lightning in Fountain county with heavy rains starting in. This is what we are looking for as we head into this evening. Scattered thunderstorms. Now currently there is nothing severe with this system however Heavy rain is looking like a main threat in storms. Right now we have a HEAVY band of rain entering south Tippecanoe county..... Doppler is showing a possible inch to an inch and a half an hour which is VERY heavy! This does not mean we will see an inch to an inch and a half of rain but this just goes to show how heavy this rain is!

I will check back as needed..... Keep those reports coming! Right now we are looking good and keeping severe weather threats at a low chance..... Our Echo tops are not getting any higher then around 30,000ft and for (most) storm clouds to become severe thunderstorms they need to be around 40,000ft on average.....

We will see more Scattered Thunderstorms try to move in after this little break. Yes, more scattered thunderstorms are on the way closer to after 11:00pm tonight. Currently I'M not expecting any severe thunderstorms..... I will check back as needed.....
