Things Are Right On Track At This Time!

I have yet been to sleep today lol but still doing good! :) I'M popping in after looking at some of the latest weather model runs and up to this point things are still right on track and looking good! You can see this is a look at my Doppler radar at just about 12:40pm this afternoon. We are starting to see some light pop up scattered showers enter Chapaign, IL. You can see how scattered they really are! Also I have noticed some scattered showers trying to pop up to our south around KY, areas. Now after looking at the latest weather models the timing for more wide spread showers to pop up is still looking (after) 1:pm. This is when we will really notice the scattered showers starting to pop up in the WLFI viewing area. Not everyone will see rain at that time. Think of this as the starting point! ;) We will then see this rain start to fill in by this evening.

We did wake up with some scattered showers early this morning around 6:am and 7:am then that quickly moved off to the north east. Most of us picked up a quick 0.08" to 0.30" inches across the WLFI viewing area. I still look for most of us to pick up another .25" inches of rain and slightly higher amounts for our northern counties like Newton, and Jasper, before today is over with still some locally higher amounts in thunderstorms possible. Over all we have stayed mostly dry today but the rain is on the way!

I have to get ready to go out for just a quick bit then I will be back here tracking side by side the best weather bloggers around! I will see you then..........

Reporting heavy downfall and a few rumbles of thunder right now in Monticello...sure smells like Summer out there!

Looks like it is storming pretty good north of Lafayette. It's not doing anything in Frankfort.
