I Hope You Have The Hot Cocoa Ready! Because The Polar Express Is Just About To Arrive!!

The polar express is working its way here! We will feel rather cold today and even more tonight. This will continue into the weekend. With still cool temperatures in the 30s next week. Winter is upon us as I have said before. You can see how the national radar looked last night around 7:20pm EST. Just think if that cold front would have moved in sooner then it did, All this rain would have been in the form of snow! We would have been digging out for days that's for sure. You can see as I was talking about yesterday that by the time we got cold enough for this rain to change over to snow, Most of the precipitation AKA moisture was moving out of our area. However I have something for you all to think about below!
Last night while I was watching the radars I noticed this above. At around 7:18pm EST you can see we was looking at rain falling at a rate of around a half inch an hour! So why did this stick out so much to me? Well, as you know I'm a huge snow lover so I couldn't help but think about how much that would have been if it was coming down as all snow. Can you believe we would have been watching the snow fall at a rate of near five inches an hour?!?! WOW How nice would that have been? :) Granted it would have been nice for all those who didn't have to head to work the next day!

That's one thing I just can't stop myself from doing. Anytime it rains in the winter months I always have to check to see how much it would have been if it fell as snow. Then I get bummed lol :)
That's right with all this cold weather on the way I believe we will see a Hot Cocoa Advisory issued for the WLFI viewing area!! Yes, the first one of the season. Be sure to head out and stock up because we have a COLD couple of days ahead of us here in the great state of Indiana. With highs staying in the 30s and lows falling into the low 20s we will need all the hot cocoa we can get. Finally my cold weather is here. I never want to know a day that's over 40 degrees. I like it much better when our highs stay in the 20s and nights fall into the teens and single digits. Call me crazy all you want but that's how I like it! ;)

Now let's get to the Quick Cast Blog Cast below.................

Today we may start out with some early morning light scattered snow flurries. I look for little to no accumulation this time around. :( With the ground temperature being above freezing I don't think we will have to worry about ice on the roads. Then as the day goes we will see mostly cloudy skies with a few breaks in the clouds at times. Mostly to Partly cloudy.. Highs will reach into the low to middle 30s with lows dropping into the middle 20s. Winds between 10 and 15 mph with a few gust to 20 mph possible. COLD! :D

Friday we will see more mostly cloudy to partly cloudy skies over the WLFI viewing area. Precipitation moves off well to our north and east so we look to stay dry. Highs will reach into the low 30s with lows falling into the upper teens to low 20s. Winds will be between 10 and 15 mph possible. COLD! :D
