Icy Roads And Wind Are The BIG Problem!!
Well, above is how things looked earlier this morning around 10:00am or so. You can see it was not big flakes falling down but many many smaller one that did make driving difficult. Now the wind is still with us however not as much snow falling down. The thing that's making driving difficult at this time is the Black ice! We have dropped a good Ten degrees in four hours! We are currently at 23.9 degrees as I type. You can see the ice starting to form on the roads above. This is just one small ice patch of many! This is the dangerous part of this storm other then the wind. But as many of you have been reporting it's not just the roads but also driveways and sidewalks. It may not look like it but above is nothing but solid ice on my sidewalk. I had to make a quick trip over to my neighbors just a few ago and her driveway was nothing but ice. Please be careful when out and about. It is super slick is areas. It's getting so cold that we have ice sickles forming on our trees! The good news is the street lights that were out at one time all over Lafayette have all been turned back on! Tippecanoe county, did have over 1,081 power outages at one time. We now only have 48 without power! Still Duke energy is reporting over 5,158 people without power around the area.
Please stay safe Bloggers. Keep warm and I'll check back again as needed!

WOW Justin, is nasty out there, I like your photos! Light snow coming down at this time. Hope people heed to the Travel Advisory issued for Tipp Co. and slow down!
