A calm weather pattern setting up through Thanksgiving.

We have a real calm pattern setting up through Thanksgiving here in the midwest. Right now most of the country is calm. It almost makes forecasting boring lol. Take a look at the national weather service watches and warnings map below.
I haven't seen it this calm in a long long time! Just not a whole lot going on in the US today. Right now I'm looking for us in the midwest to keep it calm over the next week or so into Thanksgiving. Lots of partly cloudy skies across the area with temperatures slightly above average for this time of year. We're usually around 50* degrees for the month of November, however we could see temperatures a good 5 to 7 degrees above average as we head through the week.
You can see that there is not a whole lot going on looking at the radar as well. A few scattered showers in the south around FL, some scattered showers / snow showers to the northwest, and cloudy to partly cloudy skies for the rest of us. Looking at the NAO and AO models this afternoon I do think we will start to see some cooler air move into the area as we head near Thanksgiving. Right now the NAO and AO models point to cooler air just after Thanksgiving as the models start to go negative. I'm amped up for snow after that small taste of it we got over the weekend. So waiting for snow till after Thanksgiving is a killer :)

As for Thanksgiving and what we're currently looking for, take a look below.
Right now this calm weather pattern will continue through Thanksgiving. With highs currently expected to be in the 50s and lows in the upper 30s / low 40s likely. Again this is a longer range forecast so nothing is set in stone. I will continue to make minor changes to this outlook as we continue to move closer to the big day!

Here's a break down of your forecast below.

TONIGHT- we will look for partly cloudy skies across the area. Expect a cold nightly low of 26* degrees. Winds light and calm between 3 and 5 mph.

THURSDAY- we will see mostly sunny skies to partly cloudy skies across the area with a high around 48* degrees. A low Thursday night around 31* degrees. Winds again light only between 3 and 5 mph.

FRIDAY- we will again be looking for partly cloudy skies across the area with a high just slightly above average around 52* degrees. A low Friday night around 30* degrees. Winds light between 3 and 5 mph.

Have a great day! God Bless.
