The Subject Today Is "Rain Showers And PhoneBooks" WHAT?

Hey bloggers. So how did the weekend go? Rain aside! :) I really enjoyed this weekend with the cooler temperatures and the amazing game we talked about yesterday! Becky, you were not the only one thinking they would lose that game. My dad hoped they would win however was thinking it was going to be the end of their streak. But hey we are now 9 - 0 and I couldn't be happier! :)

Also I was watching mythbusters on discovery channel last Saturday and they had an odd myth come in! It was a myth that is you interlace the pages of two phone books they will become impossible to pull apart. Now this kinda amazed me! HA HA. I don't get out much in case your wondering. ;) So you can bet my sister and I did it. And let me point out IT WORKS! I would love to see the person that can pull these books apart without using anything other then muscle. Here's what you do below. You need to over lap each page. Yes, this can take a little while! (One by one) Don't skip any! The phonebooks need to be at least 300 pages each which most are. When your all done it should look something like this.Then find someone to help pull and I bet you no one will pull them apart. The only way you will get these things apart again is two ways! One, Undo them page by page once again. Or Two, Get two 15 ton tanks pulling on each book. Because it takes at least 8,000 pounds of force to pull these books apart! And just in case you think that's not much. You could hang two small cars from the books and it wouldn't break them! That's how much! Is that amazing or what? It's all the weight of the pages and the friction, Nothing else. Again you can tell I don't get out much lol.

Anyway I thought it was cool and had to post about it.....

Now what's the deal with all this rain? Well, we have a low pressure system to our west that is taking it's time passing by. Which means more rain today into Wednesday. Maybe even a few scattered left over showers on Thursday possible. Take a look at this low pressure below. This image was taken earlier last night however this will give you an idea as to how strong the system is. You don't need me to mark the low pressure as I did below to see it. It's that noticeable.We won't really see this low move off to our north until closer to Thursday into Friday. All that rain you see to our west is still on the way. My forecast is, I expect to see lots of umbrellas across Indiana to start this week. How's that for getting right to the point? ;)

Today we will see more rain in the WLFI viewing area. Between the last two days Lafayette, has picked up 1.60" inches of rain. We can expect another quarter to a half inch of rain possible today with more tomorrow. We will see highs cool today in the upper 40s to low 50s. Lows will be in the upper 30s to low 40s. Winds slightly breezy between 20 and 25 mph and I won't rule out a few gusts to near 28 mph possible at times.

Wednesday we will see more left over showers in the viewing area. We can expect another quarter inch with locally higher amounts in areas possible. Highs will be in the upper 40s to low 50s once again. Lows will be cooler in the upper 30s. Winds calm between 10 and 15 mph.

As for the Thanksgiving day forecast! Well, at this time with thanksgiving being still over a week away I can see things on the weather models however when we are still nine days away the models tend to flip flop all over the place. So to give a strong forecast I can't really do that right now. However I will say that we may see some rain near thanksgiving. Not necessarily on thanksgiving! And right now the models have the big cool down just after thanksgiving. Again that has already changed at least three time this week and I expect it to change again before the weekend. I will have your full detailed thanksgiving forecast coming soon. We will continue to tweak it until then hows that sound? ;)

Also this believe it or not is my 600th blog post! Wow I cannot even believe I have Blogged to you guy's and girls that many times. When I started this blog I had no idea so many people would count on it so much. You all are amazing for making this blog what it is right now! Without you we have no blog. Thank you!
